Whilst men’s football has been taking centre stage across Poland and Ukraine over the last few weeks, the women’s game has not been forgotten and the women at Chrzaszczyki football team, recently organised a match in support of the ‘Respect Diversity’ message.

The captains of Germany and Italy, Philipp Lahm and Gianluigi Buffon, backed the campaign against racism by reading out messages before Thursday’s EURO 2012 semi-final in Warsaw.

The captains of Spain and Portugal, Iker Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo, gave their support and that of their teams to the campaign against racism and intolerance in football, as well as to efforts to ensure that diversity is respected within the game.
