Whilst men’s football has been taking centre stage across Poland and Ukraine over the last few weeks, the women’s game has not been forgotten and the women at Chrzaszczyki football team, recently organised a match in support of the ‘Respect Diversity’ message.
Supported by the FARE Network and Never Again, the Womenn to Women (Kobiety Kobietom) tournament took place on Saturday 30th June at the DOSiR Praga Północ sports centre “Kawęczyńska, Warsaw. The event is part of the international project DISCOVER FOOTBALL
Over 100 participants took part, involving women from the age of 17-44. The aim of the event is to promote women’s football during Euro 2012 and to create a network of female football teams from Germany, Poland and Ukraine.
